My "money obsessed" aunt & uncle are at it again
I posted awhile ago about how my aunt made "suggestions" on what to buy my cousins (who are adults by the way, not kids) for christmas and than when I showed her she was trying to look at the price tag. Well, the other day my uncle stopped by my parents house and they were talking about my cousins boyfriend. My cousin and her boyfriend have been together for about 6 yrs. all the time in college. He is graduating from Hofstra law this year and got a job with the DA in Nassau. Well my uncle tells my parents that he and my aunt went online to find out how much he would be making  and apparently they are not happy it is "so little" b/c they were expecting them to get engaged and married soon. People never cease to amaze me.

I know of someone's parents who were disappointed in who she chose because he didnt have a Masters'd Degree like their daughter did 
(it never worked out anyway, his choice, and probably a good choice!)

that is just so sad---i mean he'll be fresh out of law school. they should be happy that he's getting a job AT ALL! sometimes its hard -- and he's starting in a place where he can advance. what did they expect, that right out of school he'd get a $2 million a year job!

I agree!!! It's my mom's sister...but man she can be an idiot sometimes. The best was one holiday she told my cousin, if and when she does get married, not to have kids right away so she and my uncle can enjoy their lives Uh...hello...the reason you dont "enjoy" your lives now is b/c you practically wipe your 3 kids a$$es that are ALL above the age of 21!!!!

I'm sure when they found out he was in law school, they saw dollar signs. They probably expected or hoped that he'd get a job at a large NYC firm making $160K. After all, the money this guy makes is more important than how he treats their daughter or whether he makes her happy. These people are unbelievable.
