feeling down...
DHs 30th birthday is tomorrow. I was going to throw him a big surprise party and as it got closer i changed my mind b/c I knew he wouldn't want one and wouldn't be comfortable at his own party.
My ILs live a little less than an hour away from us. They called me saying that DHs brother and sister were asking them about DHs birthday dinner and what if anything we were doing.
I talked DH into going to a japanese restaurant about 30 mins away- a half way mark for his family and us and my family to meet.
Now I'm feeling so awful that he's cancelled dinner.  It's so nice of him to do b/c he feels that it's more important to be w/ me than go to his own bday dinner but I feel so guilty for some reason. He could've gone w/o me- I would've been ok for a few hours. I just can't drive (THE BUMPS KILL ME) or sit up for long periods of time right now... I feel like such an awful wife.

Don't feel like an awful wife because you are not. I'm sure your DH rather spend his birthday with you then at dinner thinking about you. When you feel better you can take him out to dinner where both of you can enjoy yourselves.

Not an awful wife. Dont feel bad. If DH really wanted to go he would have. Enjoy his birthday just the two of you

Aww, don't feel bad. Like the others said, you're not an awful wife. He's doing the right thing, be happy about that! He want to spend his birthday with you! Its not like you're flat out refusing to go, you can't drive! Its okay! Just cut yourself some slack!
