I have been sick since Saturday...
Between my nose beng congested...
My sinuses burning they are so dry...
My mouth drying up because it's the only way I can breath while sleeping....
or OH YEAH, Peeing a million times a night......
I have not slept since Saturday!
If I don't get sleep I am going to lose it!
Friday is my full day at the spa, then we leave for our Myrtle Beach weekend.
Saturday is my Birthday.
Nothing is getting done around the house and I feel misserable!
Sorry, pity vent over!

Call your doc, and ask them to give you the approved list of meds so that you can go and make yourself feel a little more comfie honey!

Sadly, I do have a list, he gave me when I first became a patient. I just feel wierd about taking anything.
I think I might have to cave in tonight!

I have had a cold twice since getting preggers, and I do this to myself every time.... I try to hold it out and take care of it naturally - juice, sleep, u know... but it never works and i cave after a couple of days... I don't know why I even bother trying to do it naturally! As far as what I've read, the baby takes the majority of your immunity system so that it can stay safe therefore leaving you susceptible to soooooo many more germs!

I have been that way since LAST Saturday  I was on anantibiotic last week and am still as congested as ever (b/c I can't take any decongestant that will actually work on me).
Yay.
Feel better. I would see your Dr if you haven't already.

My doctor told me to take the OTC meds, and if that didn't clear it up while I had my cold to then come in and see him.

If your sinuses are bothering you, you could have a sinus infection. I did and was put on antibiotics - really that's the only thing that will kill an infection.
I was told by my OB that I can take Sudafed, Robitussin, saline nasal sprays...and use a humidifier.

I totally have a cold coming on and I don't really need anything yet. But in the case I can't take it anymore, I just want to make sure I can take something.

ok, I called my OB and they said I can take any of the meds on my list.
They said as long as it does not get worse (stays a head cold) or that fetal movement decreases, to then call them.

I remember having a sinus infection when I was preggo and I got a script for a Z-pac and I felt incredible after a few days!

Honestly, I would just call your OB. Tell them what week you are, explain your symptoms and ask what you can take. That's what I did. They also told me if my headache persisted that I would need to see my primary physician...which I did.

You should at least use Ocean nasal saline spray. Its just saline, no medicine but it will keep your sinuses moist, this helps them heal naturally!

I was just going to write this - saline nasal spray - run it under your sink's hot water for a few minutes - then spray some up your nose -
I felt the same way as you and also feel funny taking anything - i felt better in one day!!

The saline spray may very well help. I'm a HUGE neti pot user and have found this to be tremendously helpful when I get a sinus headache or allergies. I also do it when I've been around sick people just to wash away any germs that may be festering!

I saw that used on Oprah and always wanted one since. Now I wish I had one.
my DH got me 4 boxes of tissues with lotion in it and tylenol cold & sinus.

I fly often and use a neti pot after every flight to get rid of germs! And pre-pregnancy if there was smoking in a bar or restaurant I was in, I'd use it as soon as I got home.
The one I use is Sinucleanse, they sell it and the refill packs at Walgreens.

In addition to what has been mentinoed above, I'd recommend sleeping with a humidifier, it can make a huge difference, especially when you are sick with congestion. Hope you feel better!!
