I helped DH's friend and his fiancee out by doing their engagement party invitations. I sent them some sample verses for their invitations...they agreed on one. I sent them a proof and the fiancee write back and says "John" wants his name first. I told her traditionally the woman's name always goes on top in wedding related invitations but if that is how they want it, I'll do it. DH and I thought it may have been a cultural thing and the fiancee tells me no it's just b/c "john" is an a$$hole and thinks he is "the man". So she than calls me back and tells me to put her name first as is the "right" way to do it. Well on top of that situation, they wanted an Arabic introduction which was a PIA ( I even recruited some LIF'ers for help) but after going back and forth we got that done. DH brings the invitations into work with him today and gives them to "John". "John" flips out b/c his name is not first. So DH calls me and says "You f*cked up". So I am thinking oh god, is there a mistake I overlooked. He says to me "Why didnt you just put his name first. He is screaming at her on the phone". My response was first, I am taking care of our 8 1/2 mo. old son and my friends 14 mo. old today and it is nap & feeding time for both of them and you call me for this?!? Second I told him, I didn't f*ck anything up. He is f*cked up. That is what his fiancee wanted and quite frankly I dont give a $hit if his ego can't handle it.
Than I told DH he was an a$$ for even calling me about this

Funny thing is, I got a lot of strange looks for asking for the switch on my album. I forget my name or is name first.

Whatever, I just liked the way it sounded better at the time. Everyone kept saying "NOOOOOOooo it's custom for blah blah blah first" whatever. I did it my way and told my hubby to get over it. Frnakly he didn't care so it worked out fine.

But this is rude as you are doing them a service to begin with. You don't like it, get someone else to do it. No time, then back up, taike a moment, breathe and re-evaluate how you speak to me or I'll just drop the whole thing.

What the heck is wrong with that guy? If he is gonna flip on anyone, it should be his fiancee, not you or your DH!!! They should have sat down like adults and made a decision together. Yeah, that is going to be a wonderful marriage! They can't even agree on something that simple??

First, your friend is marrying a real winner there. If he flips out over this, what happens when "real" life issues happen?
Second, and more importantly for you, don't do a thing more for her!
