I usually give chicken/chop meat..sometimes with rice...over dried food.
My dog will NOT eat canned dog food.

vin gives her rice, boiled chicken, turkey - with her all natural dog food. she doesn't do well with wheat/glutin so we are careful - also, chicken broth in with the food to make it like a gravy and soft.

There are books out there with recipes and ideas. When I was in college I worked for a breeder that did this.

check petrecipes.com I make my own dog food but be careful what you give them because you want to ensure a balanced diet.
