Not me personally but two people I brought to his sci-fi show were read.
A friend of mine has been read, but she knows him personally.

My mom went to see him. He was talking to the parents of a small child that had just died and then he said he was getting something and mentioned three things that were very significant to my mom and would not easily relate to a lot of people. My mom did not want to raise her hand because she felt bad taking John Edward away from the people that had just lost a child. She kind of regrets it to this day but said it did give her peace to know her mom was trying to contact her.
I was trying to say this on another board that he tells you things that he would never know and was only between you and the deceased but they all think he is a fake.

I was a bit skeptical of it but he said the name of the cat my mom had a child and mentioned a pig and cow farm outside of the country. She grew up on a pig and cow farm in Ireland So it wasn't stuff like you know someone named John and you have size 8.5 feet. I guess it's nice to believe in stuff like this. What John Edward does is not harming anyone and if it can bring someone some closure and happiness why not believe in it.
These women think that he finds out names and researches their lives and then picks them out at the show!!! So how does that go with someone who goes along and didn't personally buy the ticket but gets read??!! No one will answer that though-lol!

I went to him years ago...I think it was in 1996. It was when he was still doing it out of his house. I had a boyfriend who has passed away and I went for that reason. He knew things that there was no possible way for him to find out on his own. I thought it was amazing!!!

Last night, he read three sisters who bought their tickets at the event. He would have no way of knowing they were going to be there. So there goes that theory!!

When I went my appointment was made under a mans name who had no relation to me whatsoever...there was no way to research me. I totally understand how people think that though.

My gf had him at her house (or family member's house) also before he was famous.

ITA with you. I can see how people could believe that it would be fake but I know people who were read at this shows and he told them things that were so personal, he could never find it out and they would have not been talking about it before the show (as they think someone is spying on everyone)---YES, all 3,000 people!!!

i saw him at the smithtown shertion and my ffil,fmil, fh, and i were read it was so cool, my grandfather, his grandfather, his grand mother, grandfather on mom side, his dads cuz.

I don't know if he's real or an absolutely amazing guesser but the people he read that we knew had very difficult things to come up with - that both parents were dead, that someone died from a blow to the head & it was a transmission (he died in a helicopter accident & the transmission is overhead), many, many strange things.
I do know that if he isn't real, than he believes he is because he carries it through in his personal life.
