Spin off to lights- who went to Camp Eddy?
I have to get DH to drive out there to see the old girl scout camp. I stayed there in 1986!
Any other former scouts who remember it?

Me!!
I went there in the late 80's. I don't even remember when 
I remember sleeping in the "cabins" and having raccoons eat our food when we went to the big meeting house for a party
I also remember all of us girls screaming because we swore there was a dead body in a garbage bag along a trail (we saw something shiny and black from afar) and it wound up just being a puddle

I did with my troop and then myself during the summer. Who rmembers when though ...I guess in the 80s when I was around 4th grade??

we went a couple of times. The bog house peterified me because of the back yard...I always thought it was like the "children of the corn"scene
I loved the campfire parts

It WAS creepy! Walking to the bathroom freaked me out. I do remember lighting candles and floating them- that was nice
I also asked my very granola troop leader why we went to the trouble of washing dishes and not using disposable and got a lecture on treating the earth right- way before that was PC. Seemed like a good idea
