I got an e-mail today that really pi$$ed me off...
Without saying exactly what it was about I told someone that I cannot committ to something because my Grandma was really sick. I had actually sent two e-mails in response to their emails and got a response to the second one saying something like oh do you have to visit your grandma everyday is that why you can't do it?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!! I was really upset by this. My family is much more important than this person and what they are asking about.
I held off from writing something back right away because words would have been exchanged. Do I drop it or say something back to that e-mail?

I would probably say something like "God forbid your Grandma was as sick as mine, thanks for your compassion"
the nerve of some people!

That's completely uncalled for. If it were me, I'd really WANT to fire off a nasty reply, but would probably just not respond at all. Maybe complete silence from you will wake this insensitive person up.

That is really rude. This person should understood your 1st e-mail back. Some people.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

People can be so insensitive. Sorry you have to get upset at a time you're so concerned about your grandmother!

I would say something and cc that person's boss and HR. I would do it tomorrow and sleep on what you really want to say tactfully. It would take all that I had not to write a scathing email to that person.
What a Ba$tard.
