For a complete stranger, I don't really think so. I know its selfish, but there's just no connection and I couldn't do it. For any family member, without a doubt... It was amazing when everyone stepped up and said they would donate a kidney to me if I needed to (not that I got that far, but it was nice to know!).
After I die, sure.

JUST FYI - signing the back of your license means nothing anymore! You have to get on the organ donor registry.
