Braxton Hicks??
Throughout the night, I had pain periodically going across my abdomen. Could these be Braxton Hicks?? BTW-- I am 33 weeks.

Braxton hicks were never painful for me. They just felt like my abdomen getting tight. Everyone is different though. I'd ask your doctor.

Thats how mine are. I am 37 weeks, and for the past few weeks i get crampy in different parts of my stomach, one night the cramps were really strong and low. Doc said def braxton hicks.

eta... that the night they were very painful i thought about going to hospital, but they slowly went away

I agree....The first time it happened at night, the cramping was very intense and I was scared that I'm not going to be ready for the real labor.
Then I started getting them during the day and realized they're just tightening and preparing he muscles for the delivery. I felt much better knowing that ANY sort of discomfort in the middle of the night (leg cramps, toe cramps, gas pains) is much more painful than if it happens during the day.
