What would you do? Stranded without money

Would you rather walk home three hours because you have no money whatsover or would you ask a stranger for a metrocard swipe?

I would ask a stranger for their metro card. I'm sure someone would help me out. I would if someone asked me.

Re: What would you do? Stranded without money

Ask someone or call a friend to lend me two bucks

ETA: If I was feeling brazen I'd consider ducking under the turnstyle

I would ask. That's not like going in someone's car. That I would never do.

I would ask someone for a metroswipe or beg the subway guy to let me in.

My DH has gone to the teller in penn station and they've given him a voucher to use on the LIRR- I think they took his license and when he brought $ to pay for the ticket the next day they gave him his license back. HTH!

Re: What would you do? Stranded without money

Ask for a metrocard swipe. People are pretty cool about it. My metrocard ran out and I was holding up a huge line, the guy behind me swiped his card and told me to go. I said thank you very much. LIRR is pretty cool about it, too. Don't worry about it, it happens to everyone.

eta: If you tell us where you are stranded, someone might be by you that could help you out.

In this situation, are there no ATMs around?

I was taking no money what so ever to mean- no cards either

in that case- I would borrow money from a co-work or ask a nice person for a swipe

but the only way this would have is if I forgot my wallet at home- and they I couldn't have even gotten on the bus to begin with
