Sending a CD or DVD that you made...
If you send via UPS or USPS and do not mark it media mail, can all the information somehow be erased?

I've never had an issue when I've sent a photo cd to family with wedding photos, etc in it. I usually put the cd in a plastic sleave or a jewel case though.

CDs or DVDs can't be erased in transit. They could get broken, or if it's very hot, they could warp, but that would destroy a lot of other packages too, so I don't think they would let that stuff happen.
Floppy disks could get erased if they were near strong magnets, but not CDs.
