bored out of my gourd

Ugh... so DH and I were supposed to decorate our Christmas tree and clean the house today and just spend time together.... his friend from Brooklyn comes over at 1 and we go to lunch. Friend needs to p/u a TV from Green Acres Mall' Best Buy and needs help getting it back to Brooklyn. DH goes. He just calls me now, at 7:30 to say "hey, you're not waiting for me for dinner, are you? we're going to grab pizza, then I'll be home"... um, hello, I've been bored for the past 4 hours and working on my planbook waiting for you to come home. But sure, enjoy your pizza. I'll see you at 9:30 or 10:00 just when I'm getting ready to go to bed because I have WORK tomorrow morning. But whatever... have fun and enjoy your pizza. Is it just me or should I be a little annoyed?

i'd be pizzed too!! i am sorry he wasn't more considerate hopefully you can say something to him when he gets home - IMO, it's NOT ok to "assume" things, especially when you are married! DH knows better than to just not show up for dinner... i would stop cooking altogether and he'd be forced to eat soup out of a can

ETA: and your DH should be in bigger trouble because you two actually had plans!
