HIP HMO
Does anyone have HIP HMO? Its open enrollment and we are thinking of switching. Any feedback would be appreciated.
TIA

Re: HIP HMO
I have it and have had no problems with it. There are no copays which is great. The only issue I have run into is that it is not widely accepted like say Oxford is. For ex. i was looking to switch OBGYN and every recommendation I was given by friends did not take HIP. Eventually one of the OBs started taking HIP so I lucked out. Just check that the docs you have now take HIP before making the switch.
Good Luck.
ETA: Just wanted to also say that I go to private doctors NOT to the HIP centers. Many many years ago, you had to go to HIP centers, you don't have to anymore.

Thanks, DH and DS primary doctors take it. I am covered under my own plan so the OBGYN thing shouldnt be a problem.
I checked and my local hospitals are in network, so I think it should work for us.
