Star Spinoff - why do they make it so hard?

Seriously - we are a smart group of women and men. If we go back and forth on this issue all the time - I myself get confused on it daily - at work we all argue about how it works, and we all have (or almost have) MBAs.


I think the state does it so they hope people won't apply I am convinced the government just wants to take my money.

Of course that is why they do it..My mom said that hers looked like junk mail...I bet many people throw theirs out!

Of course! Why wouldnt the government want to take your money? It's robbing without a gun and a mask!

I definitely believe it's so people won't apply. It is definitely confusing! I know people who just pushed the information to the side and didn't apply for the rebate this year (and they were entitled to it).

Talk about confusing - last year DH & I took the afternoon off to apply on the last day at the town office in Smithtown and they were like "You're already signed up - you don't have to do it every year"


And we did get our check.


So this year when the letters come (I think we got three total), DH ignores them! And me, reading all the STAR posts on here decides not to chance not doing anything, so I finally remembered to bring a letter with me to work and did it online!
