Nearly 8 hours -- AGAIN!!!

Emily slept for almost 8 hours last night! At 11pm she was getting sleepy so I made up a small bottle to see if she'd take any before she fell esleep -- to see if it would help to hold her over through the night...she only had an ounce and a half and was out cold --- and she ended up sleeping from 11:15 to 7am this morning!!!

Thats 7 3/4 hours!!! I'm completely amazed and well rested, lol!!

Re: Nearly 8 hours!!!

Emily has skipped it before but usually that is just because she was up until 1am and then wakes up at 5 -- so it's not like she really skipped it --- but usually if she eats at around 10/11 she'll wake up at around 2:30 and then again at 7 --- so I am going to try my HARDEST to keep her on last night's schedule.

Although I'm sure that won't happen.

Have you tried giving him just a little bit more before he goes to bed? Also, od you have a bedtime routine?

At around 8:30 we always give Emily a bath, then I do the whole lotion, getting dressed, playing with her a little while I get her dressed routine, then feed her again and read her 2 books while I'm feeding her. She's usually esleep by about 11pm.

Re: Nearly 8 hours!!!

Also Emily had her 30 oz last night by 11pm -- usually it's more like 27 or so ...so she ate a lot yesterday -- I'm sure that added to it!

Re: Nearly 8 hours!!!

Hooray! It's nice, isn't it? Unfortunately Christopher's been sleeping a lot less. He's been sleeping through the night since he was a little over a month old and he was sleeping about 10-12 hours a night for a while. Now, he only sleeps about 8.5 hours, because he can't got 10 hours without eating any more.

Re: Nearly 8 hours!!!

Congrats!!! That must be such a great feeling!!
Marissa is 10 wks today and I'm still waiting to have a night where she sleeps for more than 4 hours at a time! Although, now when she wakes up for her middle-of-the-night feeding, she doesn't eat much and falls asleep while eating. Hopefully, that's a sign that soon she won't need to wake up to eat!!

No Ive never even thought to give him more before bed.... but I dont know if it will work...sometimes its a fight for him to finish his 4oz bottle...

We have a bed time routine very similar to yous bath, massage, and then about 9 we sit in the dark and eat our final bottle and then its bed time...Usually he's up at 2 and then again @ like 6... he usually goes back to sleep again til between 8-10...

Last night he went to bed @ 11...and didnt wake til 4 then for the day at 7:30... I just wish we could skip that 4... (or 2) feeding...???

Re: Nearly 8 hours!!!

okay -- I feel so lucky!!! Emily slept through the night again!!!! She fell esleep around midnight (I was out so I didn't get to give her a bath until around 10pm so we were a few hours behind) and then she slept until 8 this morning!!! And like yesterday, she woke up, sucked down a bottle, and fell esleep again so I think I even have time to make breakfast and shower now!!!

YAY!!!
