Cramps before AF

I normally post on the TTC board, but I need some advice from you ladies. AF is not due until Wednesday the 28th (2 days). Beginning yesterday afternoon, I started getting this sharp throbbing pain in my uterus area for hours on end. It was coming and going, sometimes stronger than others. When I woke up this morning, I didn't have that pain anymore. Instead, I had a lot of pressure like someone shoved their fist into my stomach and was pressing. Then, this afternoon I started getting AF-like cramps on and off all day. Cramps 2 days early is not like me at all, so I am wondering if this could be AF showing her head early (also not like me) or if the cramps are a sign of something good! Did any of you have cramps on and off days before getting AF?

I didnt really have anything like what you are describing...actually I had the same symptoms as I would have if AF was coming--slight cramps and spotting several days before. The only thing that in retrospect was different was that smells were very strong to me...that continued throughout my first trimester.
