Frontline ?

Do you guys apply their flea treatment during the winter months also. I tend to slack on it to save some money because its so expensive.

What do you do?

I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on this as well. This is my first winter with a puppy.

I did not do it last winter but yes i normally do apply frintline during the winter months. I know fleas don't live in the winter outside but still you never know. It was the beginning of February and freezing out when i found a tick on my sheltie.

ETA: i buy it from Fosters & Smith. It's a little cheaper

your supposed to till the first frost, unless you live in a heavily wooded or grassy area, then its year round

I apply it from March until November - so for three months she doesn't get it.
My vet said - until standing water freezes and stays frozen.

my vet said YES, in order for it to me effective....I guess this past year was the first year we didnt do it, so maybe that is why Tiger had so many fleas

I do, mostly because my vet recommends it, but also because I live somewhere warm so my dogs are outside just as much as they were in the summer months.

Our Vet said keep doing it until the second frost.
