Cleaning a comforter

I have a 100% Polyster filled and cover comforter (says the tag)
Its King sized and says dry clean only

Is there anyone I can wash it at home
Is it dangerous to put it in the dryer?

Re: Cleaning a comforter

is the outside of the comforter silk?

if so, I would not attempt to clean it at home.

I would take it to the cleaners. I didnt one time and ruined the comforter. Its not that much to clean, maybe $25.

I agree with this... it's not worth trying to clean something like that when it says dry clean only

I agree....I did the same thing. I washed it once and it was ok, but then continued to wash it because I thought it was ok to, but after a few washings...I ruined the comforter.
With a coupon I pay $19 for a King size comforter...totally worth it
