I'm heading out to my parents apt to help get my brother in the shower and to the doc today.

I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA recently.
I know the transition is very hard for everyone. It's so difficult when someone needs help with basic tasks (bathing, dressing) we all learned so long ago.
I never thought I'd ever have to help my dad with those things so I know how rough it is emotionally for both the person being cared for and the care taker.
Hang in there It helped for me to try to not think about it so much when I was doing it. I didn't want to get upset and get dad upset. I think we both cried about it when we were alone
You are all still mourning the old Freddy and accepting the new one. It's very hard
