what do you think of this idea?

since were saving for the baby we dont want to go crazy with xmas gifts this year...what do you think of this for my brother? he has his own apt...25 and him and his gf have friends over for drinks etc

a basket with different liquors, alchols, maybe some cocktail mixes...maybe a few shot glasses

i want to get something useful i dont want to buy stupid things this year that will collect dust.

Would you like something like that? Also should a do a big one for him and his girlfriend? or get her something different?

If they live together, one big one for both of them should be totally fine. Great idea!

I think it's a great idea, but be careful. That stuff can get pricy and before you know it, you could spend a lot of money.

I think it's a great idea but can be expensive -- I would pick a drink and get the ingredients for that along with a related something for it.

Something like....
Margaritas: get the tequilla & the mix, the salt thing and a set of margarita glasses.

Ingredients for flavored martinis and a set of martini glasses.

I think even though they don't live together, you could still give them a couples gift.

DH and I didn't always live together but we would get a couples gift from his sister for Xmas.

I don't really dig it as a couple gift.

Why not a gift card to somewhere they like to eat?

Not sure if a 25 year old dude would be mixing Margs... Chat Icon I like the idea though!!

How about a basket of exotic beers? I do that for people all the time, alot of stores will sell you single beers, and it gives them the opportunity to trry things they wouldnt buy themselves.
