Re: speaking of charity

I volunteer at a shelter and give money as well as my time every week. I cut out something for me so that I have the money to do this. It's a very small sacrifice to not get a manicure or not get coffee every morning so that I can give to the less fortunate.

I am a tax accountant. It really, really pi$$es me off because I see how much $$ people make and they don't donate, but of course write off a nice chunk Chat Icon It's really VERY sad.

our accountant told us how much we should give each year depending upon our income. It's only a suggestion of course, but we keep it pretty much the same each year. He's talking about IRS standards..what they expect to see on our return for our income. Were doing it all along anyway.

I donate to a lot of charities that support animals and their welbeing. I feel like so many people ignore their needs so I try to give as often as I can :)

Re: speaking of charity

I mainly do animal charities, and I do it everytime I purchase something at Petsmart. I get asked on the card reader if I want to donate, and I always do. It's a small amount, but I'm sure it helps.
