Cars and trade-in value
I don't know if NC would be different than in NY, but does anyone know if a car dealership will give you any more (even a little more) than what your car is worth according to Kelly Blue Book just to get you to buy a new car through them? TIA!
ETA: Can a dealership basically decide themselves what they want to give you?

yes!
My DH is a dealer and he does not use Kelly Blue Book. He uses NADA guides and will adjust according to the look of the car. He's not going to give you more so you will buy from him. If they're giving you more money, they're rolling it in somewhere

I agree.... if you trade-in, you're always paying for that 'convenience'.... generally you get roughly 15% less or worse than bluebook....
