I am the most thoughtful prego ever.
Because showers suk. And I know it.
So I insisted that my shower have an open bar.
AND it's at a pub.
I should win friend of the year.

I'm glad you both agree. I think alcohol is very important.
My friggin mom had NO ALCOHOL at my bridla shower. I sent DH to the store to buy me and my BMs a case of beer.
I told her well in advance- HAVE BOOZE!
Mothers and weddings, man.

No alcohol at my shower. If I can't drink, no one can. 
In all honesty, most of my friends are pregnant or breast feeding right now, so few people will miss it.

Soooo thoughtful! It'll make the 3 hours of gift opening and ridiculous game go by so much faster. You can also have one glass of wine (my OB says it's fine in the 3rd tri) to take the edge off of any irritating attendees.

I'm with Rebecca - if I can't drink, I want the people around me to suffer too! I'm such a lovely person, can you tell!
But in reality, they'll drink anyway b/c that's how my friends roll.

GASP - what?? I can't imagine having any party for any reason in my family with no alcohol. Even a "congratulations on your sobriety anniversary" would have booze for the rest of us degenerates.
