when the DH does the little surprises that he knows i love
ex. buying me italian cookies that he knows i die for, a text message out of the blue saying he misses me, our talks about how we plan to raise our children, our little trips to the wineries

definitely the small things, the ones that show how well he knows me.
like suggesting we go to a vietnamese restaurant (that he HATES), if i have had a bad day.
or giving me my favorite candle.
giving me the window seat on buses/planes

I agree - it's the little things...
It's stopping for a lingering kiss in the middle of hectic day, picking up lunch or dinner for us when he knows I'm having a bad day, making my grilled cheese just the way I like it, telling me he misses me when I go out without him...
