We are most likely adopting an IG within the month and he is not neutered.

What's the average cost to neuter a small dog?

There is also a website called
FriendsofAnimals.org where you pay them (I think $65 for neuter) and then take the certificate to a local participating vet. The money actually goes towards spaying and neutering adopted/rescued animals.

Everyone's costs are about right. I got my son pet insurance before I neutered him because it was going to pay for half.

Look at petinsurance.com , the name is VPI. I still have it and depending on the plan you get it can even cover cancer treatments down the line.

My mom has it for our family dog who is 13 years old and has cognetial heart problems. She takes him in the city every two weeks for treatments and its paid. She has had if for him since he was probably 3 or 4...

I got Yogi neutered at the Ken Animal Shelter in the Calverton area. The cost is calculated by weight. I can't remember the weight for a small dog (because Yogi weighed in at 2 pounds over the small dog weight), but I remember it being about $90. Here is the website: http://kentanimalshelter.com/

I dropped Yogi off at 8am and I picked him up at around 2ish. He slept for the rest of the day. He didn't have to wear a cone. He had glue, rather than stitches. I had a great experience with them.
