Candle Wax on Furniture
does anyone know how to get rid off candle wax from wood furniture?? is there an easy way to do it??
I got wax on my dining room table and I am not sure how to take it off.....don't want to just scrub it because I will scratch the table...

Re: Candle Wax on Furniture
Did you try just scraping it with your fingernail? Otherwise maybe some ice to harden it and then chip it off. I put my tart burners in the freezer for 5 minutes to get the wax out of that so ice on your table might work too. You can also try that Orange Glo stuff, that might work too.

I've used ice with good results too--I would try that first.

Re: Candle Wax on Furniture
I got candle off the carpeting by using a newspaper and an iron over it.
I'm not sure if it would work on a wood table.

Thanks ladies,
Will try tonight....the messed up thing is that the wax is very thin (all over the table) and not easy to take off....but I will try...

Re: Candle Wax on Furniture
I was just watching a home show this morning and they suggested putting a hair dryer on and blowing over it. This should loosen it and then you can wipe it with a paper towel. Let me know if it works!
