GRRR...I can not believe this...
Short version of my cr@ppy friend story... Made plans with friend A to visit friend B in Boston. Friend A had to book a plane ticket for this. Later find out that BF's engagement party is that weekend (plus it's her bday that weekend PLUS I'm her maid of honor). I was still planning on doing Boston since Friend A bought plane tickets.
Then BF finds out (only a week or so ago) that she has cancer.  Needless to say I feel more obligated now to go to the engagement party and see my BF and be with her as she starts her chemo, etc. I sit down to write an email to my friends explaining the situation, but first receive an email from friend A. Basically, I had emailed another Boston friend about my possibly cancelled visit and he forwarded my email to friend A before I could tell her the story. So I write a nice email explaining the cancer, my reasons, etc. Her response?
"I understand that this is a tough situation Laura, but I'm surprised that I had to hear from **** that you might not go rather than you calling me up yourself."

actually, if it were me, I'd be more ****** at the other boston friend who told him than the original friend who bought the ticket.
why did your other friend get involved like that. Pretty presumtuous.

 Well at least she understands and isn't giving you a hard time. I would be more upset at the friend who forwarded my email.
Try not to let it get to you. You have more important things to think about (your friend with cancer)

You're right. I guess I'm mostly p!ssed because it's so petty!! You hear someone has cancer and you focus on the date you received an email...
