Dumb question about full vs. queen bedding...
I am trying to buy a new comforter and sheet set for our guest room. Everywhere I go online I find the duvets are full/queen...there doesn't seem to be one size just for a full bed. Won't the queen duvet be too big? I measured and our full comforter that is on the bed now comes closer to the twin size....

Re: Dumb question about full vs. queen bedding...
I think there's only a 6 inch difference between a full & queen size bed so I don't think a duvet would be too long on a full size bed.

Re: Dumb question about full vs. queen bedding...
When we had a full bed, the full/queen comforter was fine - just fell a little lower on the sides. What didn't work well was the bed skirt - it was way too wide so I had to try and sew it up a little to keep it from dragging all over.

a full/queen should be fine for a cover, becuase it gives you a little extra space on the sides.
The typical bedding sizes (for quilts of comforters) are: Twin: 63x87 Full: 78x87 Full/Queen: 84x84 Queen: 84x92 King: 100x92

Re: Dumb question about full vs. queen bedding...
When my mom was buying our duvet (present) the saleslady recommended buying a king for a full/queen bed so that you have some extra covers on the sides.... We tended to steal the covers at night, and I have to tell you this was the such a great thing for us. And it doesn't look weird when the bed is made (at least I don't think it does )
When we bought our summer blanket, we went with the king as well and it's been comfy sleeping since.
It's also nice to have some extra length if you end up getting a pillow top mattress or a pillow top or something that'll give your mattress some height....

When we had a full bed, I always bought queen duvets and comforters. It looked ice. Now that we have a queen bed I use that duvet, but I like a longer look and it is too short for my taste now.

lol same with us - i find that the queen/full bedding is tight on a queen bed, especialy if you have a pillow top. but at least it saves on having to buy sheets
