LIRR Commuters
SOOO, how was everyone's delightful commute last night? Luckily I got home at 8PM taking the train to Patchogue and getting picked up from there?
Thank god the lady lived, and there were heroes around, but seriously, she shouldn't have been driving. Oh well.
SOOO, how delayed was everyone?

What exactly happened last night?
I got home with only a few delays b/c my line was doing okay... but Penn Station was a NIGHTMARE!

I was stuck at the Mineola Station for an hour and a half. The train that hit the car was the train I take home everyday. I didn't get home until 8pm last night. It was not the warmest night out either.

nope, what happened was the elderly handicaped woman turned right onto the tracks (by the gate). She thought it was a street (which is wasn't). She lived, but the car was totalled.

so she got confused when she turned? I also heard as the people tried to get her out of the car, she was saying that her bag and cane were in the car and she wanted to get it. Good thing they convinced her to leave it.
