if you don't have a formal dinning room....
and only have a eat-in kitchen or breakfast nook area... what type of table do you have?
Round, square, only room for a bistro type table???

Re: if you don't have a formal dinning room....
We have a very small kitchen. Only enough room for 2. We have a round table where two sides fold down.

I have a table with drop down leaves on each side.
It's rectangular and becomes a big rectangular table with the leaves.
Without the leaves it seats 2 (center of the table). With the leaves it seats 6.

We have a dinette. We are looking for a pub table, or counter height table that will seat 4 - 6 people.

I have a high square table (it's counter top high) and fits 4 but when we have company the table has leafs under that you can just pull out to make it fit 6-8 people. I love it very convient for my type of kitchen.

Re: if you don't have a formal dinning room....
We have an oval table which seats 4-6 and has 2 leaves taht extend it to 10 people.
When we re-do the kitchen down the road I'd like a rectangular table about the same size.

We have a rectangular table that seats 6, got the set from Ikea. It's not actually in our kitchen, but just outside in our "dining area".

Re: if you don't have a formal dinning room....
We have a rectangular table. Without the leaf it can sit 6. With the leaf 8. We normally only have 4 chairs by the table and the other 4 we put in the basement and get them as needed. It doesn't look so cluttered that way.
