What are your experiences with Acupuncture???
I have been having back problems and now sciatica problems (what a bloody mess I am) and my doctor told me that his mother had the same problems and she did actupuncture and cupping and she found they really helped.
So I popped out to my local Chinese Herbal Health shop (downstairs from my office conveniently) and I have made an appointment for a some acupuncture for tomorrow.
Anyone have any stories or experiences that they want to share with me???

Re: What are your experiences with Acupuncture???
I love it. I do it for my TMJ and also fertility issues. My DH does it because he has the back of an 80 yr old man. He was amazed at how much it can help. He once literally crawled into her office and walked out.

Re: What are your experiences with Acupuncture???
I used it for fertility issues as well and I loved it.
Within about 5 minutes I would fall into this really nice deep sleep.
It was usually the most relaxing 45 minutes of my day.
You really don't feel the needles at all.
My biggest piece of advice is to go to someone who specializes in the kind of pain/issues you are dealing with, not just a general acupunturist.

Oh yeah. You'll probably be even better and more focused when you get back.
The only thing is that you'll probably have to disrobe depending where they put the needles.
When you make the appointment ask them what you should wear.
When I went I wore sweats because it was either early morning or late evening.

Re: What are your experiences with Acupuncture???
I used one a few years ago when I had some very painful heel spurs. It helped me with my pain.
Good Luck! I always like to try a more "natural" way of helping with pain rather than with drugs.

Re: What are your experiences with Acupuncture???
Thanks everyone! He has also given me some pills to help with the pins and needles, but the pharmacist said they make you tired, so I don't really want to take them. Like I'm not tired enough with the 4 days at work and the toddler....
