I love Joannes, but their section is small for upolstery fabric , they have a ton of fabric though for other uses.

There is Calico corners on Glen cove road in carle place which only handles upholstery fabric and there is a little fabric store on voice road in carle place that has all different types of fabric ( I just got fabric to recover my dining room chairs their cheap).
Check out both before you buy anything b/c calico is very expensive but much better quality.
