Do you
speed? By speeding I mean over the speed limit, regardless of what it is... Do you look down at your speedometer and notice that you are almost always above the speed limit? Or are you careful to always stay at or below the speed limit?

I speed over the limit most of the time ... BUT ... I always keep a safe distance, don't weave in and out and generally try to keep up or go a little faster than the flow of traffic. Yes I drive fast, no I don't drive dangerously.

I do, but usually only about 5-10 miles above. But it seems like I am usually still going slower than most people

Exactly!!! I will be doing 70 75 and Im being honked at and passed like crazy!!!

Same here. I still drive a bit above the limit, but only 5 MPH more max

I USED to be a leadfoot up until recently when I was pulled over for the first time in my whole drieving career... Now I drive no more than 5 miles over the speed limit!

Been busted for speeding more than once..... now I drive 5 miles over the speed limit and that's pretty much it

If you asked me this before I started my daily commute to Westchester in September, I would say that I never went more than 10 miles over the speed limit. Now, however, I go 70-75 on the 55 mph Hutch and Sprain!

Definitely a leadfoot for me unless I have the kids or I'm driving in residential areas than I try to go slower. I've talked my way out of many tickets.

I usually drive around 70, but I don't weave in and out of traffic. I also am constantly looking in my mirrors to know what is going on around me.

Me too. I usually stay in the same lane and change when it's safe. I hate when I see a car flying up my ***, then passes me when the car in the next lane is not too far from me.
But I think everyone goes over the speed limit, especially on the LIE. If you follow the flow of traffic, then you are probably doing some speeding.

I got a speeding ticket in 2001 when I found out I was preggo and it put points on my license and my insurance went up ....it cost me$$$$$$ if you add up all the years my insurance was high plus the ticket and was in the HOV lane
It isnt really worth it to me

I never used to- but now I commute to and from the Bronx mainly on 684, and there are so few cars, compared to what it's like to drive on LI at the same time of day. But since that road also seems to be teeming with police, I now set my cruise control for 70 and just coast.
