Anyone familiar with Photoshop?
I have the 5.0 version. I'm trying to figure out how to change pic to black and white and add color to certain parts. Does anyone know how to do this? It's driving me crazy!

not sure what features are in 5.0...
but to do this, there are serveral ways of doing it...
you can desaturate the picture (remove color)
then take the history tool and brush where you would like the color back..

CaMacho posted a thead on this, I *think*, on either LIW or the knot. Maybe FM her, and she just might give you the details.

Or you can put a lasso tool around the part you want to keep as colored and invert your selection and desaturate the rest of the photos.
There's alot of ways to do it though.
Good luck.

To do what you want to do.... its real simple. You take the original color picture. Then make a copy of the original picture as a new layer and place it on top of the original picture. Make the copy thats on the upper lawyer 2 black and white using the greyscale tool. Then just use the erase tool on layer 2 to erase the parts that you want in color and you will see it work right before your eyes.
Takes me about 10 mins to do this. 20 if I want to be precise.

This is what I do, but I am also going to now try the other method suggested.
