Mailbox placement
If your driveway is towards one side of your house (on the left or right) - which side of the driveway is your mailbox? Is it on the side that is your front lawn, or is it on the side that borders your neighbor's house?
IE: When facing a house you see the driveway runs down the right side of the property which is adjacent to the neighbor's property. Is the mailbox on the left or right side?
I know, weird question!!

Re: Mailbox placement
I think it depends on Townships/towns. My mailbox is in my garage.
You might need to contact your post office to find out the requirements.

Re: Mailbox placement
We have our mailbox on a post at the curb. 99% of the people on our block have the mailbox to the left of the driveway, on their lawn - NOT bordering the neighbors property.
Except my neighbor to the left, he put his on the right side of his driveway, on the lawn bordering our houses and it looks like we have 2 mailboxes.

Same here, that way our mail carrier can pull the truck up using the empty space on the street created by our driveway. We have long driveways in my neighborhood so there is rarely a car on the street but we placed it that way so he would never be blocked by a parked car from getting to the box.

Re: Mailbox placement
Letter carriers don't really care where on the property the mailbox is. They just pull up in the truck. As long as it isn't blocked by anything or anyone, just put it where it's most convenient for you.
