I had about 80. Remember you can add things after your shower. Make sure that all of he 170 things are what you really need. You do not want people buying things that are not really necessary and then your stuck buying the real necessary stuff, or exchanging things. It also depends on how many people you plan on inviting to your shower.

Thats a really good point! That is how I was with my wedding registry also - only register for what you really want and need so you're more likely to get it.

Re: registry...

I received 87 out of the 134 items on my registry and believe it or not kept all of them. I'm a first time mom so not sure if I'm going to use all of them and I still had to go back and get some stuff I needed that wasn't bought....yeah my apartment is crazy right nowChat Icon

Re: registry...

I have 75. I had more but deleted a lot, because like pp said, I didn't want people to buy stuff I really didn't need over the stuff I really really need.

As it is, most of the important stuff is still on the registry. People have one more week to shop. Chat Icon

It depends on the person. I will put a lot on. I had a large bridal shower and we are both teachers and may get showers in our schools.

Re: registry...

57 items and I thought that was a lot! We'll probably register for another 5 items, but we just stuck to necessities. We just don't have enough space for too much stuff.

same here...alot of things are like 2.99 etc. I did a bunch of little things since im having a wishing well hoping theyll get me things i want rather than useless things they decide to put in there...all of it though if i dont recieve at the shower i will go buy myself so i just put it all on there who knows they were VERY generous at my bridal shower

Re: registry...

When I first made the registry, I had over 160 things on it, then I gradually realized things I really did not need and cut back a lot. I ended up with probably 100 things total on there and I just added a bunch of stuff, toy wise for Christmas, because I know people are going to ask me or my mom and I can just direct them back to that.

You'll probably change things on there right up until the shower so don't worry if you think there may be a lot.
