Does anyone elses cat do this?
Recently, my cat has taken to licking plastic bags...any kind of plastic bag he can get near, he licks...ones we bring groceries home in, ones we have leftovers in, etc etc..
His only obsession up to this point was rubber bands...what the heck is going onj?

No not plastic bags, rubber bands yes. Its wierd I don't know why they do that, one of mine licks all the wood in the house, window frames, furniture. But never plastic bags, wierd

An old cat of mine did this. It was the only way we could get her to the vet, as she'd fight to not get in the carrier. But if we threw a plastic bag on the floor she would run right in there, start licking so we'd pick the bag up by the handles and away we go!

That's weird alright.
Wonder if there's some kinda chemical smell from those bags?
One of my cats love to lick my stereo speakers and chew on styrofoam or foam.
She also loves to play with my hairties and chew on my comb. Weirdo.
It's all a texture and smell thing, I think.
