anyone see the Scrubs episodes with Brendan Fraser?

ok - hopefully no one reads this that hasnt seen them...
ok - you know, the second one was on tonight, and of course I was bawling like a baby...
but I dont get it - I have to see it again - I'm assuming the whole episode was 6th sense-ish, where no one was really talking to him or seeing him but cox, right?
so - he DIDN'T go away on a tour around the world?
And, Jordan was talking about Jack's 1st bday party in the beginning of the show, so we were assuming Brendan was "in" for that - but the party they were talking about the whole time was the funeral? Or, were we in Cox's skewed perspective the whole time, and he was in such denial, that he refused to hear funeral, and replaced it with birthday party?
