my condo is 975 and so far so good. Well hopefully stay there for another 5 years. We're very happy plus we have a nice open floor plan so I don't feel tight at all. Tons of closests as well.

We live in a 900 sq ft (not including a full finished basement) bungalow. We love it and have no aspirations for a ginormous house.

We do. We have 2 bdrms, living room & kitchen. No basement but we do have an attic. We like it. When we bought it we had plans to do an extension in a yr. Unfortunatley DH was seriously hurt the year we were going to add on, so we haven't been able to do it. I do wish it was bigger, but it's only the 2 of us right now so it's enough space for us.

Re: Anyone's house here under 1000sf and how do you like it?
ours is 1250 ... and its big enough to hold all our stuff and give us some room to grow.. i think if we lost one of the 3 bedrooms it woudl be about 1000... so id say its a pretty good size unless u plan on having a ton of kids and/or pets.... no formal dining room but we aren't 'formal' type people so it works for us and a smaller kitchen but that again is what we were looking for as opposed to a big kitchen taking up living space

HGTV has a good show called Small Space, Big Style which is one of my favorite design shows. Check it out 6:30 weekly.

Re: Anyone's house here under 1000sf and how do you like it?
my old townhouse was 1025sq ft. It was more than fine for just my DS & me. Then I met DH, we got engaged & he moved in & we needed a room for his daughter so we turned the garage into a bedroom with a loft. two adults & two bigs kids in a house that size is very challenging.

Our current apt is 950 sq ft and it feels like a shoe box. I think we have too much garbage that clutters the place.

Re: Anyone's house here under 1000sf and how do you like it?
I honestly think it depends on how the house is shaped and laid out. My co-op is 800sf. and was fine for me but when DH moved in we are really crowded. However my mom has a three bedroom ranch that is only 50sf more than my co-op and we would be find there. The layout just helps a bunch with the flow.
