closing date

We have a date! Our closing is scheduled for Monday! Our walk through is Monday @ 9 and the closing is @ 10:30.

So what am I supposed to be looking for during the walk through??

Any stipulations you made in the contract for the seller to repair/replace, make sure that they did.

Make sure everything is in the condition that you saw it in - no holes in walls, etc.

Test the water in the D/W and Washer to make sure of no leakage!

Congrats!!!!

For the walk through:
- Make sure everything in the Contract that was agreed the Seller fix or replace is completed and if it is anything that required a Contractor coming in, make sure there is a receipt
- Check if any major holes in the walls, a nail hole here and there, really can't do anything about that, but if something was ripped out and sheet rock is damaged, that is another story.
- You can run all the appliances again, flush toilets, etc..

Sooooo cool, Jill! I can't wait to see some pics! Our closing date is still scheduled for November 15th but who knows I haven't even started packing yet, guess I'm in denial that this is really happening

Also for the walkthrough, turn EVERYTHING on....the stove, the W/D, the dishwasher, try all the faucets, flush the toilet, turn on the shower, check everything. Also if it has central AC turn it on & turn the heat on to make sure the boiler works.

Hi I need help we set a date for or closeing but had the sellers to fix some item our realotor says they fixed them but we haven't had a walk through to see if they have the date of the closeing is suppose to be the 31st but they will not be able to move out until the 2nd of Nov. my concern is we do the closeing but what if the people tear up something while there moving and then were stuck haveing to fix it or they leave us there mess to clean up. thanks
