Pan Drawers

Does anyone have a pan drawer and actually like it???

I had one put in my kitchen when I had it done last year, but I hate it with a passion and am thinking about my options for my pans now. I hate the fact that its soooo noisy to put my pots and pans away, if I want one pan, I have to lift everything out of the drawer. I think a rack is in order.

Yes, I have four.

Definintely beats the old fashioned way of piling up the pots and pans in the botom cabinets. I can fit so much more in the same amount of space.

Do you have the pull out shelves or the drawers?

Could it be because you have pots and pans all in the same drawer?Chat Icon

I have an idea. I'll send my kitchen designer over to England to help youChat Icon Chat Icon

And he can sing.... "Awwww, awww, Noah.... awwww, awwww, Ta-tah-la" as a bonusChat Icon Just make sure your DH isn't homeChat Icon

I love mine! In my house I have a few cabinets with the pull out shelves and they are great for pans. In my old townhouse I used to have full drawers and I liked those too. I loved having a big drawer for all of my tupperware type containers. For pans I prefer the cabinet with the pull outs though.

Re: Pan Drawers

My drawer is at the bottom of the stove/oven and I love it. It saved me cupboard space too!

We have them and I love them! It is noisier but I find it much easier than piling them into a cabinet and having to pull them all out to get to one in the back.

It's a large drawer with/without shelves that people can store their pots and pans in for the kitchen, instead of hanging them.

Re: Pan Drawers

I have a lazy susan type thing with two spinners in a corner cabinet that fits all my pots and pans. When I want a particular one, all I have to do is spin until I get to the one I want. I LOVE it! My parents have the pull-out drawers which I like too, but I do get a lot of the banging when I try to remove something.

The bottom four drawers in this pic are pan/pot drawersas opposed to the usual base cabinet with a door.

I have 2 and I like them. I have "Cushy Cupboards" drawer liners in the bottom of them that helps with some of the banging. I find it pretty easy to pull a stack of saute pans out and find the one I need - although my cast iron pans are very heavy to lift in and out.
