Definitely a plaid flannel shirt, maybe with a t-shirt underneath
light blue jeans - something with a higher rise that sits on your waist
wide belt - but not too wide that it doesn't fit into your belt loops
dark brown lipstick - it has to be matte!
and something around your neck - something dangling from a long black string... let me see if I can find any hs pictures of me to share...

haha so did I !! I used to wear mine everday, it said my name on one side, his on the other and 2 hearts and I Love You in the middle
It was huge and heavy lol it looked good with my lip liner

I was grungy- long sleeve shirt under a short sleeve Pearl Jam or Nirvana tee shirt.
Flannel around the waist, torn knees in the jeans. Be sure to avoid boot leg.
Doc Martins.
When I dressed up, it was babydoll dresses, thigh highs, and doc martins.

Also XMen and Dilbert seemed to be 90's costumes ... ETA: Waldo from Where's Waldo, Edward Scissorhands, Batman movies characters, Spice Girls, Mulan, Jasmine ...

I remember bodysuits and flannels being big. With light denim jeans and Timberland or Wolverine work boots.

Oh no your not! I have tons of pics where I am dressed in the same outfits!!! My mom used to take me to a mens store for giant striped polos !

I definitely sported the babydoll dresses with black thigh highs and docs.
Every now and then I rocked the ripped jeans and flannel shirt but not as much.
I did dye my hair pink, purple, blue, green... you get the drift.
Also sported a spiked collar but I was less mainstream.

Tights/Fishnets under a pair of ripped denim shorts with a concert t-shirt and a flannel over it and DocMartin boots. That was pretty typical of me.
