DH's IPOD was stolen at the gym...warranty has expired, i guess he's screwed?
I took his IPOD to the gym with me. Left and then realized i left it in the cupholder on the treadmill.
I go back and its gone. It was a silver mini and I know they don't make them anymore, but does anyone know if its a complete lost cause? I have the serial # and everything.
Also..if anyone happens to be selling a used mini or nano for a decent price let me know...I hate that it was stolen in my care and he uses it ALL the time.

Did you try contacting the office at the gym to see if anyone was honest enough to hand it in? You could always leave a phone number and a contact name in case someone does.

Yes, I checked with the gym right away...they have nothing. I gave them my # in case someone turns in out, but i highly doubt it.
It BLOWS. I can't understand people who steal.

Not sure if you can recover through Apple or anything. But it would be worth giving them a call.
As far as a replacement is concerned, check out eBay.
