You can take furniture to the cub scout's tag sale in West Hempstead this Friday. They're collecting stuff at the St. Thomas Chapel on Hempstead Avenue (NOT NOT NOT the main church on Westminster Road) on Friday. The tag sale is Saturday. You'll get a receipt for your tax write-off, and if it doesn't sell, they'll take care of donating it somewhere else.

Here's the phone number for the local chapter (516) 731-7880. I just called to donate a piece of furniture. Waiting for them to call me back.

At this stage of the game, I don't think they are doing any pick-ups. I think you have to arrange to get it to the chapel on your own. I'll ask, though.
OOC, is it a wall piano or a baby grand? (I've always wanted to learn, LOL!  )
