Where do you go for a Seman analysis?

Did your DH go to a lab? or at your RE or OBGYN Office?

I have called the 2 labs which my OBGYN office suggested... but the only ones that actaully do the Seman Analysis are

Quest Diognostic in NYC
and
Sunrise Labs in Happague

We are located in central nassau, and it will take us over 1 hr to get to both of these places, and they say the sperm should be tested within an hour... plus you can only drop it off like mid day between the hourse of like 10:30 and 12... my DH and I are both at work... so crazy.

How did your girls do it?

Maybe your RE office did it?

DH's first SA, he did a drop off at Quest . I think they would have allowed him to do it there if he wanted, but I don't remember. I do know that there were only something like 3 places in the state (we live in NJ) that took samples. He was so nervous about keeping it at body temperture (especially in February!) and getting it to the Lab by the time specified. And yes, they had short window in which they allowed it.

We are now seeing a RE but he has to do it there, not at the lab itself. They did tell him he can do it at home and bring it to the office, but it's a bit of a drive. They also have a short window (6:00 am - 7:30am)

My DH did it at North Shore Manhasset, they have very early hours. He also did it on the premises we didnt want to risk getting into a traffic jam, after 2 hours the sperm is dead.

Maybe you can talk to your RE and explain your situation and they can suggest another option.

I brought it to Quest Diognostic in Syosset.

My DH did Quest Diagnostics in Syosset also. You do have to call in advance for appoitment to drop off sample & it has to be during certain hours.

my ob sent my dh to north shore as well as his urologist

My DH went to my RE's NYC office, he did it there but he also could have brought it there within the hour. Their hours for appointments are 10-2:30 I think.

The first one, we brought it to the andrology lab at Stony Brook Hospital. The second one, my RE has an adrologist in his office (a mighty cute one, I might add )
