Anyone watch the new Drew Carey Price is Right today?
I tivoed it and just finished watching it.
It was ok- and I do like Drew- but I just felt it was so 'off' without Bob Barker.
I think Drew just has to get in the groove and he did a a great job for his first show- but it just didn't seem the same....
I miss Bob!

I watched for about 2 minutes - from what I saw he did a good job. Still miss Bob though!

I watched the 1st 15 minutes. I think Drew did ok. I like him, but, agree..It's so weird without Bob.

watched it last night via DVR
the show is watchable, but drew has to get a little more personable with the contestants and a little buildup before revealing the prizes or whether or not the contestant has won or lost wouldn't be a bad thing.

RIGHT?? You know what I SOOOO miss? The way Bob used to "tease" the contestants before revealing if they won or not- like ask them- What would you do with the money if you won? etc...
It was Classic BOB!

yeah, i mean drew can't imitate Bob, but he can incorporate things that Bob did, while using his own style
Perfect example was "In the Bag" - when they got to the $16,000 bag, a little buildup and teasing would have been good.
Or when the contestant would come up on stage and the prize was a car - Bob would do a little buildup before showing the car. Drew was like, "Welcome to the stage, here's what you can play for" - very hum drum
And if he called the mountain climber "yodel man" one more time...
but i guess that was OK because he was making it his own
And I'm gonna have to get used to contestants saying, "Mr Sound Effects Man - do I have one number right?"

ITA!! That Mr Sound Effects Man- was KILLING me! As was the "yodel man". LOL
I just didn't feel he had much enthusiasm either- kind of ho hum....
I thought he would be more energetic and upbeat.
But- I guess it's because he has some really big shoes to fill- and nobody can compare to the master!
