Not all conservative Christians are this way. To make a sweeping statement like this is ignorant and intolerant. I am not this way and Ann Coulter's remarks were disgusting and revolting to me. In fact, they made me very upset that she is associated with my belief system.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the left wing / democratic message is live and let live, inclusion, everyone has a RIGHT to say whatever they want, it is a free Country??
I guess that is belief holds true only if you are NOT a republican, Christian, or right-winger?? I just want to get it right.
excuse me, but since when does collectively insulting an entire religion fall under the right of free speech? 
is she free to do that? yes. but then don't complain when conservatives are viewed collectively as intolerant.
If you read my whole post, I DID NOT say that she was right. Ann Coulter was WRONG and her remarks made me angry as well.
I was just bringing up that if you state that an ENTIRE religion is ignorant, THAT statement is IGNORANT and equally as ignorant and deplorable as what Ann Coulter said. That is MY opinion and I stated it based on MY right to free speech. That is all I was trying to convey in my post.

So we're going to let this woman get to us to the point where we're fighting over this stuff? Don't let her divide us. Don't take her comments as a right to bash all of Christianity or all of Judaism or all of any religion. Sure we're all free to say whateverwe want, but we're also all free to be p.o.'d by what's been said.
I'd hope the anger at her comments would make people talk, but talk about acceptance - not badmouthing ANY religion.
Trust me, the vast majority of Christians don't tout her as their voice. There are good and bad people of every creed, color, race, size, shape, and gender. Let's just fight the real evils here - intolerance and ignorance... not any single religion.

1 ) I brought it up to illustrate that broad, sweeping, generalizations were being brought up about conservative Christians.
I AM ( and a ton of conservative Christians) ARE NOT LIKE ANN COULTER, even though she has the same religious beliefs as we do.
2) Liberals ALWAYS defend free speech, and the rights of every American. It has been my experience on this forum that when a Conservative says something REAL STUPID, it's "ALL conservatives are all that way" etc, etc., etc. It happens all the time on here. Ask yourself this...IF Hillary Clinton said the same thing as Ann Coulter, you would all be equally disgusted, BUT everyone on here would be defending her right to free speech. In the thread a few weeks back when the Iraninan pres was speaking at Columbia, a lot of posters said that he HAD A RIGHT to speak there because we have free speech in our Country. So if free speech is a right, EVERYONE has that right. Now, people on BOTH political sides say ignorant, stupid deplorable things sometimes, if you think about it. NOT just Conservatives.

I just want to add that I was personally disgusted that the President of Iran was given a forum to speak. Freedom of speech IMO is for Americans. last time I checked, he hates America and calls us "the great s@t@n". yet we extend OUR rights to him.

I agree with you on this, BUT IMHO he was able to experience something that people in his country will never know, freedom of speech.
Truly, this freedom is what makes some people literally die to try to get into this country. I am so thankful that we are able to debate this issue in this Country, through an open forum and hear both sides.

I think everyone is taking Coulter way too seriously and too literally. I think she is referring to the fact that Christianity came from Judiasm. Obviously those who started Christianity believed their views were the right ones, different from those of Jews. She just makes it more controversial by saying 'perfected' Jews.

So, according to her logic, Jesus, who was born, raised and died a Jew, needed to be perfected. If He was imperfect, than why follow His teachings and be a Christian (since all followers of Jesus Christ are called Christians)? I don't know why any one gives her the time of day. The only way to make her go away is to ignore her and her moronic opinions.

now the next step is to get any reputable media to see her as a the dumb bigot she is and stop broadcasting when she talks, so that we never have to hear from her again.

she's horrific. Change the word 'perfected' to 'adjusted' and she's reiterating nazi propaganda verbatim - and yet she says that Donny Deutsche was 'lying' when he said that he was offended by her statements.
She's a deplorable human being.
. . . and the dress she was wearing during that interview was WAY too short - you could practically see her va-jay-jay.
