Water Breaking Question

I've read that if it breaks it's either in a gush or a slow trickle. I know I definitley haven't gushed, but I'm not sure with all this discharge going on that it hasn't been a slow trickle. Does anyone know how to tell? How much comes out? How long would a slow trickle last? Sorry for the long list of questions!

I keep asking my doctor this. She said you'll be so much wetter that you'll know. If you soak through a pad in one hour, then it's probably your water. She also said it smells "sweet".

i had a slow leak with my DD. I only knew b/c I was peeing every 30 seconds and at one point just had to sit there on the bowl b/c it ws coming out consistantly (but slowly, like a trickle). It's odorless and clear with some blood tinge (bloody show). this is how I knew- bloody show, plus I was having my usual braxton hicks, but they were actualy contractions. Called the dr. said to go to the hospital it's probably nothing, get there was checked and was 4cm and 100% dialated. They had to break my water bag to finish everything off otherwise it becomes a danget to the baby and you.

I had neither when i was pregnant. I didnt even know it broke.. when i got to the hospital i was 2 mins apart in contractions and they asked if it broke, i told them no.. when the doctor looked to break it, he said there was nothing there to break!!

try to laugh and see if anything comes out, thats how the nurse checked me in the hospital lol
