Did you do anything for your neighbors?
I read that someone on here threw a BBQ and I thought that was awesome. I just moved into a brand new development and only have maybe 4 neighbors right now. Maybe once we develop more I'd have a BBQ in celebration for that.
Did any of you do anything else for your neighbors kind of introducing yourself or maybe welcoming them?

As we did outside household work, neighbors came over to introduce themselves to us. Plus, as we walk our new dog, we meet some more.

We started with waves and friendly conversations. We've extended invitations to various neighbors when we've had various events - a Christmas open house, Superbowl party, etc. and have extended invites to individual familes on occassion to include them in a holiday BBQ. It's taken 5 years for us to really settle into the neighborhood though. Our neighbors either have children, or are older and retired so we're kind of in-between. We have, however, been included in some recipricol invites so it's been a slow but nice journey to become friendly with the neighbors.

I had a pampered chef party and invited all my neighbors. It was a great way to meet everyone and broke the ice. I was a nervous wreck of course but it worked out really well!

I live on a cul-d-sac with just 8 houses so we have a yearly BBQ and block garage sale. My neighbors are great, everyone watches out for everyone on the block.

I've considered doing this once we move into our townhouse... but there are 30 townhouses in our development, and I'm afraid EVERYONE will come... what then?! I don't think we can fit/feed 80+ people...

Our neighbors had a BBQ for us a couple of weeks ago. They invited a bunch of neighbors too. It was a great way to really get to know our neighbors and of course hear stories about the previous owners. All our neighbors hated them, so with us buying the house we made a neighborhood come back together. We plan on having them all over once we are settled in the house.

WE did an "extreme home makeover" on our house... it was in awful shape
We through a huge house warming and invited the neighbors. They were amazed at the transformation.

don't invite everyone...invite some of your surrounding neighbors..maybe 10.

My DH is in the cookie business, so we gave the neighbors cookies.
My neighbors were real nice--after we moved in I had a baby and they all gave gifts
